Well, tonight I have a lot to talk about, We have Gordon Stamp, Tory MP Peter Goldring's campaign manager who has resigned because he advocated Alberta seperation.
Not only that Mr. Goldring has called for the Turks and Caicos Islands to be the 11th province of Canada. He has also advocated that bootcamp should be the choice punishment of young handgun offenders as well (I had a link to this story but unfortunately it requires registration, something I will not give to the Edmonton Sun).
I am also thinking that Pierre Bourque is a biased mofo, Mr. Bourque constistenly places anti-liberal articles all over his web page and he's little more then the Canadian Equivalent of Matt Drudge, I have not ever seen one anti-tory article on his website even when the tories were screwing up back in May with the Gurmant Grewal Fiasco. I am not kidding I bet if you go there right now there are almost tons of anti-liberal articles plastered across the screen.
The Tories have also churned out another pathetic ad, which attacks and predicts the liberals will run a negative campaign. I love you chirp pieces, I just love that pact that you clarivoyants will continue to put on your swami hats and predict so much crap that hasn't even happened. There will definitely be negative ads you f***wits, have you not figured it out yet. So stop saying there will be, because there is going to be. The tories sound like a broken record, it goes blah blah blah Liberal Corruption blah blah blah Culture of Entitlement blah blah blah Criminal Investigation. Honestly thats what you people sound like, your a bunch of prep-school cheerleaders that continue to regurgitate whatever comes out of your leaders mouth.
You want to know my opinion about Paul Martin? I think he's run one of the shittiest campaigns in history, this election... so far. However, I do believe that the Liberals will pull through in the 2nd half, that's always what has happened, it happened in 2004 and it's going to happen again. I expect the tories will fight fire with fire, but should they do that we're going to turn on the Sprinkler system and douse that flame that they try at us. We're not scared of you amateurs we've won four straight elections and we are going to win this one.

Ralph Goodale is Innocent until proven Guilty
I'm not going to rush to judgement on Ralph Goodale, obviously there are facts that are going to be investigated by the RCMP. If Ralph says he has nothing to hide he shouldn't be worried. I'm going to put it plain and simple. Even Monte Solberg says "I like Ralph Goodale very much. He's a very nice guy, a decent guy,''I mean this isn't going to clear anything up. But, I ask all you tories who will no doubt insist Ralph be hung from the gallows, to just wait until the results of the investigation are announced, and if they do say Ralph did something un-ethical, then you have fair game. But, until then don't you tell me Ralph is guilty, until the police have charged him I will not believe you. Yes, I agree there are facts that many people have stated and that is fine. But, I want to hear what the proper authorities say on this. Anyone who doesn't believe this way, in my own opinion is a fool.
Now, I'm also going to address this David Emerson mini-scandal. "It's really pathetic, the words came out the wrong way and he was trying to explain something." I admit that these two miscues by Mike Klander and David Emerson have made the Liberals appear racist. But, I do not believe they are, I believe that they only wanted to take out their frustrations on their enemies and they went too far. I don't think the NDP is that bad to tell you the truth, I'm one of maybe a few hard-core liberals that does respect the New Democratic Party in terms of it's policies. I don't think the NDP has an anti-business agenda, I think to become a formidable party they have to bring business and unions together. Jack Layton comes across as a reasonable man, who is willing to work with people regardless of political stripes. I think though, he was right when he said that the House of Commons would be more orderly if Women were in Parliament. Well I'm hoping more women are elected, if you notice, typically more males are conservative and more females hold liberal beliefs. Women are usually better at compromising, men are not, men want to win and are determined to win at any cost.
Well It's been a long day and I need to head to bed. Peace Out.

Tories put the Con in Conspiracy Theories
You know, the one thing that really bugs me about the Tories is how they like to play the detective and think they have everything figured out before the facts are presented. They are like the people who say Hang them, before considering the facts, anybody who does not take into account the facts can be foolish. So in some ways the Tories are like Inspector Clouseau, they don't know what the hell is going on.
I mean lets be serious here, it is absolutely indisputable that Paul Martin was not involved in this scandal, the tories may claim otherwise that he had to have known where the finances went, well in my opinion simply he assumed the finances were to be used for a sponsorship event. He would never have signed off on funds to go directly to the Liberal Party Coffers, it just wouldn't happen, not even I could do something that dispicable. I am fairly certain that these partisans who were given the money lied about what they were using it for and martin did not do a thorough background check on where the money went. I do believe however Martin was kind of like Clouseau in the fact he was sort of an idiot during this situation, but I think that it's because of relentless negativity by the Tories that people get the wrong impression. I mean I already know that the Tory Hatchetmen will be on this board as soon as I finish writing this post because they love to slander anyone who dares to question their rediculous vision for this country. They will find ways to remove SSM even if you don't believe it. SSM is not safe in the hands of Stephen Harper. When they let the Same-Sex Marriage issue finally be put to bed only then will I consider supporting them.
I know there are many tories who are going to come on here and bitch that I'm misrepresenting his position. I know his position! He said emphatically he wants to get rid of Same-sex marriage, he wants a motion before the house, if that passes he will put possibly the most deplorable piece of legislation ever moved by a party on the floor of the house of commons.
It's a shame I have to do this, but the reason I'm voting Liberal is because of this issue specifically, I WILL NOT HAVE HIM DESTROY LOVE BETWEEN PEOPLE BASED ON WHO IS IN THE RELATIONSHIP! I will say I am passionate on this issue. Marriage is not about procreation, Religion has been used in the wrong way on these issues. God may mention homosexuality might be a sin, but I do not believe it is a sin that condemns a person to hell. Religion has been perverted by right-wing fundamentalist zealots who believe the bible is the divine word of God, but notice how these evangelicals refuse to even mention that Jesus went out and helped the poor.
Christianity should not be about banning abortion and gay marriage, it's about living a good life and so far I'd say that if two people love each other and they want to commit to each other, they should be allowed to do it.

Mike Klander Should be Fired!
I'm pretty disgusted to hear what a certain liberal blogger did to Olivia Chow, that is completely deplorable to compare someone of that background to a dog. Granted, I understand the connection between their last names, but honestly Mr. Klander has obviously had it taken the wrong way. It doesn't matter, this is a very low tactic and I admit I have attacked the Tories but honestly Mr. Klander should be fired from the Liberal Campaign for this kind of deplorable crap that he did to Ms. Chow. Our society does not tolerate racism and I will not tolerate it from anybody.

Stephen Taylor is running a Smear Campaign
It's quite obvious what Stephen Taylor over at his own blog is doing and that is, he is running a smear campaign against the Liberal Party, These advertisements did turn out to be real but I want to know who was behind this leak to Mr. Taylor. Which person in the Liberal war room had the gall to do this?
Who in the name of God was it? I believe that we are entitled to answers as to who would deliberatly throw a wrench into the party operations, Was it some pissed off worker who didn't have his idea put in? Who in blazes was this person because he or she should be fired on the spot immediately for leaking information like this.
Because of his ignorance he has cost our campaign precious money that we need to fight this election. Now we have to go back to the drawing board here because we've had everything leaked and the ads will be ineffective.
But as for Stephen Taylor, I have no kind words for you my friend, you are bile, you play dirty politics and you show no shame in the kind of crap you and your friend Kate McMillan to, the fact you chose to actually expose this information on the web and engage in paranoid delusional conspiracy theories like himself.
I honestly belive that Mr. Taylor thinks that if Paul Martin went into a bathroom, he'd think he had gone in there to steal money. Give me a break Stephen your not helping your cause, your only there to help your friends in your little tory circle jerk. I expect you to probably post a comment on this blog but I would not be surprised to see your supporters clammer to this blog to try and take me down. Four words, Bring it on, bitch!

I've Lost all respect for Sheila Copps
I did read something online on the CBC that, Former deputy prime minister Sheila Copps is helping out the Tory and NDP candidates in the Hamilton East-Stoney Creek riding in a bid to unseat her former Liberal colleague and political rival Tony Valeri.
Now, I'm not one to criticize many liberals but if there are two in my own party that I really hate it is Warren Kinsella and the other one is Sheila Copps herself. I think the people of Hamilton think Sheila Copps is now a sore loser, Sheila use to be a good liberal, but she's turning into a Tory bitch.
These two liberals are the biggest whiners in all of the party, I want to honestly have their membership torn up. I want Sheila's membership torn up because of this vile treachery she's violated the one principle of the Liberal Party which is to help other liberals.
Sheila, GET OVER THE LOSS! Honestly, you are pathetic, don't campaign for Tony but don't stab us in the back by doing something as treacherous as this. I'm just disgusted to hear that she would do something so dispicable as this. Hamilton East-Stoney Creek is going to return Tony because he was easily the better candidate than Ms. Copps.

Harper Opens Mouth, Inserts Foot
You can already tell that after a somewhat good start of the Campaign Stephen Harper is opening his mouth and inserting his foot into his mouth.
Yesterday the Conservative Leader said "I think they (The Liberals) can't wait to see a PQ government so that they can stand up for federalism and fight the separatists." I think that is by far a rediculous comment, this is once again the extreme cynical delusional paranoia of the Conservative Party that makes me dislike them." Mr. Harper's refusal to apologize once again shows that he is ignorant and this is not the first time this has happened.
Remember his slur accusing the Liberals of something ridiculous as Organized Crime? his slur accusing the Liberals and NDP of supporting something as disgusting as Child Pornography? The one reason I'm not voting for Stephen Harper is because of the disgusting behaviour of his party in the house of commons, they act like children and I saw it many times in the house of commons and every day the tory MP's shout and scream and make noise during Question Period.
In my opinion the Tories have abused their privilege of parliament, because they've slurred the Liberals with so many falsehoods and paranoid delusional fantasies.

Why Quebec is just another Province.
I'm sure many of you have heard the big debate about whether Quebec is distinctly different from Canada or whether it's not, perhaps you've pondered if Quebec should be treated better then many other provinces. I'd like to say absolutely not and Quebec is definitely not a "distinct society".
You might be shocked to hear this, A Liberal advocating treating Quebec as any other province? Well I do, I know I'm going to take flack for my views but so be it. Quebec is a great province, let me be clear, I don't hate Quebec. But I believe that despite certain cultural differences. Quebec is just another province in Canada, and the sad truth is Separatism would not be alive today had Mulroney not coddled people like Lucien Bouchard when he was Prime Minister.
The problem is in my opinion is that provinces need to get the same deal as everyone else, no special priveliges whatsoever, You may have heard of the old argument "if i did this for you I'd have to do it for everyone." That is true, for example, I believe if you give Quebec a say over Judicial Nominees, I believe that the respective provinces should also have a say over their nominees. If Quebec can take itself out of any program, so should Alberta or Saskatchewan. Same thing with Natural Resources if Alberta wants to keep its oil so should Newfoundland and Labrador.
I want to point out im not ignorant, I know there are political and cultural differences all over the provinces. But, I would like to point out that we cannot favor a province over another. The provinces are like Children, my advice is that we have individual representatives from each Provincial Parliamentry Caucus in the House of Commons that will form a kind of council to the Prime Minister in regards to what they believe is needed in certain provinces and territories for that matter. I think that the Arctic has been treated unfairly by many parties over the years and they are often ignored. These are all good ideas, that have been passed around but I'd like to here what you have to say.

Why Harper's Child Care Program is Wrong for Canada
We've heard over the past few days about Stephen Harper's Child Care proposal, as we all know he wants to give parents $1,200 a year to spend on taking care of their child. Now it may sound good in theory, but in practice, it just wouldn't work.
First of all, $1,200 comes out to abour 100 dollars a month for child care, I don't know anybody who could raise a child on that amount of money for one month, simply put that money would be gone with in a week to trying to put food on the table and filling up your gas tank.
Harper's plan is not a child care plan, it's simply extra money given to people who have a child of appropriate age. I know Scott Reid's comment was insensitive but truly he was right in the basic premise of what he was saying. Harper's plan would basically give parents another 100 dollars a month, while it might help with some expenses, it's not a plan that works. I'm thinking that it's quite likely the money might not go to childcare, it might go towards gasoline purchases or food to feed the children. I'm just making an idea of where it could go.
But I believe this is a bad plan, Many people say they want the government out their lives, let me be clear, I understand that. But, honestly as I sit here trying to scratch my head for possible solutions to combat the money going to innappropriate things I just can't other then the fact I keep coming back to the government should handle it.
Look this issue is going to bring strong reactions to many people, I do trust parents over the government but when it comes to child care I just think that maybe giving money to parents and simply trusting them to use it for child care is showing a bit of over-confidence. There are a few things the government should be allowed to run. Child Care is one of them and so is Social Security.
The problem with privatization is that it gives people a blank check and it lets certain people run wild without making the right decision. Now I hope that money is used for child care and not for anything else. But the plan of the tories is very vague and it doesn't work.

I'm Back!!!
I know It's been over three months since my last post, But I've been trying to gain access to this blog I forgot my username actually, but anyway, I know many things have been happening since August of 2005. As you already know The Federal Election is already underway, I'm going to give my thoughts on the first few weeks of this campaign.
The Debate on Friday was a strange one, I however believe in all honesty Paul Martin was the strongest debater out of all four, I can remember every second of the debate, Nobody did it better then Mr. Martin, Mr. Martin clearly had a plan and it worked well. Jack Layton was a strong second, but I really think the problem with Mr. Layton is he's all about Buzzwords and jingles, he sounded like a television commercial everytime he spoke during the debate, he kept using the same old tired lines we've heard over and over.
Stephen Harper... oh god what can I say positive about his performance, it was kind of mundane, he was very boring, he wasn't flashy and he seemed in my opinion to be really quiet and not very noticeable, he never at any time really stood out.
Gilles Duceppe however was the worst one of the group by far, and you thought you'd never hear me say that! But it's true, Gilles was even worse then Harper, he served no purpose in this debate except to just screw around, he really didn't have to say anything he can pretty much sleep till the election and still do very well in Quebec.
Still the defining moment of that debate is Paul Martin showing a fire and spark for the first time in... well... forever. Martin got passionate and you could see it, that was no performance and that was not any trick, that was raw emotion folks, I could feel it, I could feel that was real.
Overall the Debate was very boring, there was no great lines, no punchouts, no nothing. It was blah.
But here's what I believe the Liberal strategy has been during this campaign.
They've made the smart move laying off on promises, this limits Harper from attacking Liberal Platform Policies that they might bring up. Mr. Harper however has given Martin ammunition when it comes to Mr. Harper's pathetic Child Care Tax Credit and his 2% GST Cut. Make no mistake, the Child Tax Credit gives Parents 100 bucks a month to spend on their child and that will not help take care of a family. 100 bucks a month doesn't cut it when it comes to raising a family in this day and age. That money will not be used on beer and popcorn as suggested by scott reid, but the problem is it's just not a good plan, it might sound good in theory but it could never work in practice.
Mr. Harper also today announced he was going to pay more attention to British Columbia, well I am glad Mr. Harper's discovered BC, I wonder where the man has been all this time. British Columbia no longer likes the Conservative Party any more. They see the tories as not representing their interests and they have not been.
Paul Martin has invested more money in British Columbia then any other government in Canada has. BC finally has a balanced Budget, everything in British Columbia is looking bright and it's thanks to the wise investments made by Mr. Martin. Of course Partisan Tories are going to disagree with me on this but I say. BRING IT ON!

George Bush has a responsibility to meet with Cindy Sheehan
Over the past few days, I am sure many of you have heard the story of Cindy Sheehan, the "Peace" Mom from Vacaville, California. I know this is a polarizing issue as almost everything is in the United States. But Ms. Sheehan deserves to hear the truth from the President. I have grown fed up with President Bush's irresponsibility to the Iraq War. The truth is simple: He went into the war with no plan and he still does not have a plan to withdraw troops. He sent troops into battle unprepared and he has done nothing but use straw man arguments when anyone asks him a question about Iraq. Just this morning Nebraskan Republican Senator Chuck Hagel agreed with Massachusetts Democratic Senator Ted Kennedy when it came to the War. Hagel said that Iraq is turning into another Vietnam. I whole heartedly agree. But did you notice a parallel, the president at the time of the War was Lyndon B. Johnson of Texas. The President at the time of the Second Gulf War is George W. Bush of Texas and the president at the time of the First Gulf War was George H.W. Bush of Texas (Although he was born in Massachusetts). Now of course I know you might be thinking that I am pointing to a bizarre fact and you might accuse me of thinking Texans cause wars. On the contrary. Lyndon Johnson's war was a mess, I'll grant you that. But George H.W. Bush went into the first gulf war for legitimate reasons. Most people backed him in that war because they had not only approval from the U.N. but because Saddam Hussein had illegaly invaded another country (Kuwait). That war ended up lasting a year, In theory the war could have lasted longer has Bush Sr. gone after Saddam. But, he didn't because he foresaw the Quagmire that would have happened that is now ironically happening under his son. Still, I believe people need to know the truth. I know people have different opinions of Cindy Sheehan. But, I beleive wholeheartedly in what she is doing. She is extremely courageous for demanding answers to a war that we all would like to know. Quite simply, what is the real reason we went into Iraq? Was it for Oil? Was it because the Administration had an obsession of toppling Saddam Hussein that they were willing to make up any excuse to do it? I do agree with the President the War is a better place without Saddam in it. But, this should have been planned out much better. Notice how Presidents Truman until President Reagan handled the Soviets. It was a test of wits and in the End America had stronger wits as they waited 40 years until the Soviet Union went bankrupt. Of course there were subtle differences. For one the Soviet Union as far as I know and I might be wrong on this so correct me if I am, did not have Oil as a major export. Whereas Iraq does have Oil as its biggest export, so I am unsure how much Oil the Iraqis had so that they could use to sustain themselves and their weapons systems over an unspecified number of years. However, Iraq could never become another Orange Revolution because the people there are so badly oppressed beyond belief. Still, I thank Cindy Sheehan for her work on behalf of Millions of people around the world who still would like to know why Bush went into Iraq. Thank you, Cindy.

RIP: Peter Jennings, 1938-2005
I am going to dedicate my post today to one of the greatest canadians ever to live. This is my second post regarding a death. When I first heard the news that Peter Jennings died my heart sank, I was in complete shock though I knew that he had Lung Cancer. I had always known Peter Jennings to be a leading news anchor and I am was shocked to see he had died. I believe Mr. Jennings to be one of the best newscasters ever to live and he did many great things for society. Today, I remember a man who stood for Journalistic Ethics of the highest degree and a man who wanted to dig deeper to find the truth. It is fitting that Peter Jennings has been named to the Order of Canada, even if it posthumously. Because, I believe Peter has done a great service to the world. He will be missed. Peter I will miss you.

My Two Cents on Michaelle Jean
Alright before I begin my post for today, I'm a little upset about a comment posted on my blog claiming that my previous posts prove I am everything wrong with politics. I am going to say that I apologize for the mudslinging, I got a little irritated that day in question and it is mostly because I had gotten sick of the ignorance of the Conservatives, I have given them chance after chance and they continue to do nothing but smack me around. So, I have to ask you. Am I just going to sit back and let them tell falsehoods. I am a liberal supporter but I am not I repeat I am not a blind follower of the liberal party and I believe sometimes they can be wrong and sometimes the tories are right. But, in this case I really would like to see negative politics just completely die out. If you must go negative make criticisms but not the over-the-top apolocalyptic rhetoric we hear all the time.
Now, I want to get to my opinion on Michaelle Jean, I again apologize that I don't write daily but unfortunately I have a life, just like everyone else. Michaelle Jean was the best possible pick for the Governor General, when the name was announced I responded to this name with one word "Who?" a little research and I started to come to like her. Ms. Jean will be a great governor general. I will admit that Paul Martin made a really good pick politically. All the parties like her, the Quebecers like her and pretty much the whole country likes her. Still I am proud that Ms. Jean is the first African-American Governor General, it really shows the cultural diversity of this country.

Senate Appointments and Some Boasting
It's been very slow in the Canadian News World but I am quite happy to hear about the new Senate appointments Mr. Martin has made. I still think Mr. Martin shows why he's better then the past PM's. He is completely Non-Partisan when it comes to Senate Appointments. Hugh Segal was a terrific choice for the Senate and so was Andree Champagnee. I am also thrilled with the choice of Larry Campbell as a Senator he contributed alot to Vancouver and having a former Mayor like him there is going to help. However, I am quite certain Martin might have made a fatal error by appointing Segal and getting him closer to the ear of Stephen Harper. I am a little jittery and worried that he might give Harper really good advice but I am hoping that Harper will just fail like he always does. Honestly, I am more then happy to be a Liberal these days. I will defend my party at all costs, We are finally getting rid of the Sponsorship Scandal Monkey. The Conservatives in the next few months will try to prove to Canadians why they are better. But let us hold our ground, we represent Canada, they do not! They represent everything that we have fought against and come the next Election, we are going to send them into another dimension. They will not know what hit them when we win a majority government. Today, I reinvent myself. I'm tired of trying to play nice with the Tories, it seems they just will not get it and I will do everything in my power the next election to quash them like bugs. I may be a liberal but I abhor the Conservative Party and everything they stand for. I'm glad the NDP has their heads screwed on straight, I respect them more then the tories. The NDP has one problem and that is their tax and spend economics, but I will give them a pass here. I like Jack Layton and I can respect him. Don't get me wrong there are tories I like, but there are very few of them sitting in Caucus right now.

Santorum On The Daily Show
I was waiting over the weekend for monday, desperately wanting to see Jon Stewart and my most-hated arch-conservative Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum debate each other. I could not believe what I was watching. Rick Santorum looked completely cuddly and warm, however I didn't buy his shenanigans. But, quickly into the interview Santorum proved why he's America's biggest idiot. Stewart hilariously started the interview off with a shot at the fact he and Santorum probably disagree on everything so he started off with something they could both agree on "I believe Ice Cream is a delicious treat, but however too much of it is a bad thing." Santorum laughed it off and said he agreed. Then the war began. Santorum talked about how he believes Government should tell Parents to stay together, AND THIS IS COMING FROM AN ARCH CONSERVATIVE FOR GOD SAKES! He once again reafirmed his committment to Heterosexual Marriage, saying that it is the foundation for families and that it creates children for future generations. But the point of Marriage is what Mr. Santorum seems to be missing and that is Marriage is about Love, not creating babies. Even when Stewart challenged Santorum to choose between a virtuous gay couple or an adulterous alcholic heterosexual couple. Santorum said quite possibly one of the most insane things I have ever heard: He believes that in all cases, that it should always be a straight couple raising a child. My jaw fell open at that remark, but what I was most dissapointed about with this interview was Stewart throwing soft-ball questions to Santorum. I mean for the love of God, Jon never went after his controversial remarks, he was obviously intimidated by this man and never did anything to ratify the situation. Jon I'm really disappointed.

There's Something About Roberts
Today I'm going to shift to American Politics, because let's be honest there is more interesting things going on there right now. As many of you know, George W. Bush has nominated D.C. Court of Appeals Judge John Roberts as the man to replace Sandra Day O'Connor. I reacted to this choice shockingly. I was hoping Ms. Edith Clement of Louisiana would get the nod, but unfortunately I am dissappointed that Mr. Roberts was picked instead of a woman. Sandra Day O'Connor was the best judge on that court and she should have been the next Chief Justice which would have been really wonderful. John Roberts is no Sandra Day O'Connor though. But, I am willing to listen and not prejudge anything against him. I believe Mr. Roberts could be one of two things. He might be another David Souter or he might be another Rehnquist or Scalia. I say this because it's quite possible Bush might have messed this up if Roberts commits to keeping Roe V Wade Alive. This would severely hinder Bush. If this happens people like me will cheer. Do not listen to the media regarding the crap about Roe V Wade. It would likely go 5-4 or 6-3 when Roberts takes his seat. Anthony Kennedy will always vote to uphold abortion rights despite the fact he's said that he's morally against it and that happens to be the position I take. I look forward to learning what Mr. Roberts has to offer and only then will I make up my mind. I will be fair to him.

Harper Is A Few Spurs Short Of A Boot
You know I really thought Stephen Harper was not going to do something stupid this summer until I saw this ungodly thing:
Can I please ask, in the words of the immortal Jerry Seinfeld. Who were the ad wizards that came up with that one? I don't think these were wizards, these were idiots. Warren Kinsella wrote in his blog that the person responsible for this Harper Screw Up needs to be dragged to the centre block and hung. Well, Warren I disagree. I believe this person should raised on the shoulders by all liberals. Thanks to this idiotic photograph, Stephen Harper is scarred for life and can now be named Boss Hogg. The comparison to Mr. Hogg is quite appropriate since Mr. Harper is an angry white man with a cowboy hat. This outfit makes the Dukakis Tank Outfit a joke. I think we can also name Mr. Harper, Woody (Toy Story Reference)!. Because not only is he downright wooden and unlikeable he's in a cowboy outfit too.

Harper should fire Grewal
I am quite shocked at Stephen Harper's antics when it comes to Gurmant Grewal, he continues to stand by this man despite the fact that he is hurting the party. I keep wondering to myself, is the Conservative Party just a natural born party of losers? I mean honestly it's no surprise why Belinda Stronach wanted to disassociate herself from these losers. I would not be surprised if this party never gets back into power again, they are doing exactly everything in their way to help them lose. Mr. Grewal has proven that the Conservatives do not have a monopoly on morality, If Mr. Harper wants to prove that he is somehow more "ethical" then the liberals like he's always spewing then he will cease backing this man and he will toss him out on his ass out the door. Mr. Grewal has lost all credibility and the hypocricy of the Conservatives is amazing. It is amazing that this man continues to stay in the conservative caucus. Because I would have fired him if I was Conservative Leader. All I see from Stephen Harper is a man who is completely fake and robotic. I know many people will not like what I say but I am not afraid to tell the truth.

R.I.P. Chuck Cadman 1948-2005
I know it has been a while since I've posted and it's mostly because I've found very little to discuss. But yesterday, when I heard the news of Independent MP Chuck Cadman's Death, I was saddened and shocked. I was hoping that he would be able to beat cancer and come back to the house of commons and represent his constituents of Surrey North. Chuck Cadman, like I said a few posts before. Was the Best M.P. in the house of Commons and I don't think anybody would not believe that. He listened to his constituents, he was multi-partisan, he judged people not on the past but on what they can deliver. For Example: Chuck could have railed against the so-called corruption of the Liberal Party, but he didn't, instead he decided to focus on the issues of the people and not the problems of other parties. He realized the budget was a good piece of legislation that his constituents wanted and he voted for it, rather then ignore people he listened! In fact, even though I probably would have disagreed with him on many issues, including Same-Sex Marriage. I would honestly vote for this man, he cared about the people of Surrey North and was in politics for all the right reasons. Chuck is up in the sky with God now and is also probably with his son Jesse and I cannot feel any happier that Chuck will finally see his son again after he was brutally killed. This is a man who should be a role model to many Canadians and I even believe that this man should be put into the order of Canada for helping crack down on crime. Chuck Rest In Peace my friend. My Prayers are with your family and the people of Surrey North that are going through this difficult time.

Does This Look Familiar?
The picture you are seeing above is of Robert Stanfield, this is an infamous photograph of him fumbling a football in 1974, this photograph is usually blamed by Tories for causing the defeat of Stanfield in the 1974 election, it was said that Stanfield looked out of place next to the Charismatic Pierre Elliott Trudeau, he came across as boring and daft, he also had held Trudeau to minority government in the previous election in 1972, mostly do to some of the unpopular policies of the Trudeau Government. Many thought Stanfield had a chance but until this photograph surfaced he lost.
The picture I am now showing you is almost 20 years after the Stanfield incident, this is of another Conservative Leader, Stephen Harper, he was labeled by the press as being angry, boring and lacking charisma. The Martin Government was reduced to a minority after the 2004 election, this photograph surfaced on June 16, 2005. Harper said he was also going to beginning hitting the Summer Barbecque Circuit. Well Stephen, you might know how to flip burgers and your football game is questionable, but one thing is not questionable. Can you lead Canada, Definitely Not!

Opposition MP's I like... and Hate
I decided to list 10 I like and 10 I hate. So here they are.
Who I Like:
1. Ed Broadbent (NDP-Ottawa Centre)-He's respected by everybody, he tells you the straight facts, no crap involved at all.
2. Gerald Keddy (CPC-South Shore-St. Margaret's)-Probably one of the few Conservatives I like, Keddy is quiet, he's willing to take stands for things his party is against (SSM).
3. Chuck Cadman (IND-Surrey North)-The best MP in the house of commons, he listened to his constituents on the budget vote and he did it accordingly, he's soft spoken, he's respected by everybody in the house of Commons and I love that Ponytail!
4. Bill Blaikie (NDP-Elmwood-Transcona)-The longest serving MP in the house, he is respectful, corteous and well loved by all.
5. Real Menard (BQ-Hocelaga)-A very good MP, probably one of the only Bloc Members I like.
6. Charlie Angus (NDP-Timmins-James Bay)-Great MP, he's extremely funny in debates.
7. Judy Wasylicia-Leis (NDP-Winnipeg North)-This woman is a preacher, she's a fiery debater who has gone after the Conservatives and made them eat crow.
8. Peter Stoffer (NDP-Sackville-Eastern Shore)-Funniest MP in the entire house of commons, he has a lot of quick one liners and you will usually recognize this man by the salute he gives when he votes.
9. David Christopherson (NDP-Hamilton Centre)-Extremely Fiery Debater, he challenged the Conservatives to scrap their compromise on Same-Sex Marriage and take a position, he earns my respect because of that.
10. Carolyn Parrish (IND-Mississauga-Erindale)-Despite the fact she says somethings she should not, I respect the fact she says what she wants!
Opposition MP's I hate
This list is probably going to be much easier to come up with.
1. Pierre Poilievre (CPC-Nepean-Carleton)-I feel awful for Nepean-Carleton constituents, because they have to be represented by two complete buffoons in John Baird and this guy. This guy is so irritating and it's no wonder why, he's the youngest member of the house of commons. He consistently rails on about "Government Daycare Bureaucracy", if there was one CPC MP I hate the most it is this whining backbencher.
2. Andrew Scheer (CPC-Regina Qu'Appelle)-Hard to believe a great MP like Lorne Nystrom was replaced by a complete tool like this guy. He's an absolute moron who does nothing but chat it up with his friend Pierre Poilievre and make rediculous accusations.
3. Gary Lunn (CPC-Saanich-Gulf Islands)-I cannot wait until the next election, when this fool gets booted out of the house. This man is a sheer embarrassment to Canada, he does nothing but stand up and the house and whine.
4. Joy Smith (CPC-Kildonan-St.Paul)-She can enjoy her last few months in the house, because she's dead in the next election, probably the most right-wing member of the Conservative Party, a completely daft airhead who does nothing but blow hot air.
5. John Reynolds (CPC-West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country) I never really hated Reynolds until today, when he tried to make an attempt to disbar Ujjal Dosanjh, Tim Murphy and David Peterson because of "bribes". John, just go away, you will not be missed in the house at all next time.
6. Cheryl Gallant (CPC-Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke)-What needs to be said about this idiotic woman, she's made insane statements, I have no idea why this woman was re-elected, everytime she opens her mouth idiocy comes out of it.
7. Jeremy Harrison (CPC-Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River)-What a joke of a member! He's just a complete fool.
8. Gurmant Grewal (CPC-Newton-North Delta)-Mr. Grewal has a knack for just putting his foot in his mouth.
9. Peter MacKay (CPC-Central Nova)-An Absolute Fool, I'm glad Belinda dumped this dipstick.
10. Jay Hill (CPC-Prince George-Peace River) An Absolute Dick, Enough Said.

Grewal Gone Wild... Pat O'Brien too!
Well, I tell you when I heard the news that Conservative MP Gurmant Grewal had taken a stress leave, I was not surprised. But, what really surprised me was the news that he was under investigation by Air Canada because he was trying to get ticket goers who were flying on the plane to take the Package for him. Many questions come to mind, the most obvious question is what was in that Package? I am quite certain Mr. Grewal did not have a bomb in that package, but why in God's name is Mr. Grewal, a man of ethnic descent carrying around a package asking people to take it for him? Does he not realize how many people are fearful of terrorists? I DO NOT believe Grewal is a terrorist at all, just a pain in the you know what. The antics of Mr. Grewal are rediculous, why has Mr. Harper not kicked him out of Caucus, yet? The answer is because it looks like Mr. Harper has lost control of his party, he has members in his caucus running wild. This should be a new video series, it's Gurmant Grewal Gone Wild! But, unfortunately he wasn't the only one yesterday who went nuts. Pat O'Brien (not to be confused with the Entertainment Tonight host) decided he was sick of the Liberal Party's view on Same-sex marriage. Mr. O'Brien was never a Liberal whatsoever, he was always a right-wing tory disguised as a liberal. Many MP's who oppose SSM actually are good speakers and are very funny, people like Jim Karygiannis, Roy Cullen, John McKay and Paul Szabo are all great speakers and have always stood up for what they believe him. But Pat O'Brien was on a completely different planet, he believes it's life or death if this bill passes. Mr. O'Brien just gave up on the spot, he refused to fight the battle and he chickened out, and to any Liberal MP's thinking about voting against the Budget (I'm talking about you Tom Wappel, Dan McTeague and Gurbax Malhi) you would be wrong to do so. The Budget is a whole other matter, leave the marriage bill out of it!

Deepthroat Revealed
Folks it's been over 2 months since I last typed here but Im ready to get back into, Deep Throat was revealed yesterday as W. Mark Felt, a former number two guy at the FBI. This has ended a mystery for years and I think everybody owes Mr. Felt a great round of applause for having the courage to tell his secret to the entire United States. Mr. Felt is a hero to America, he brought down a government that was a danger to the United States. It is truly amazing, when I found out that Deep Throat was revealed as Mark Felt. I could not believe it, I had thought Pat Buchanan or Fred Fielding would have been the real Deep Throat, but I guess Mr. Felt dropped the bomb shell. I would hope now that Mr. Felt has revealed his secret, the press will not continue to harrass him. He's an old man who wanted to tell his secret so that the people could no and we can finally put the matter to rest. Any thoughts on this?

Why BC-STV Is Not A Good Choice
Before I start my blog for the day, I'd like to congratulate Pope Benedict XVI on his election as pope of the Roman Catholic church, that being said. I want to talk about the BC-STV, in British Columbia May 17th, the people will vote for a new government and on a referendum that basically would change the way people would vote in the province. The proponents of this system believe the election would be more fairer, easier and more choices. However their are many flaws with this voting situation.
What will people do in the next election?
What about those voters who are elderly and for all their life have just had to check an x in the box every time they went to vote, do you know how much time it would take just to tell these people the new system? I also find BC-STV completely confusing myself and would rather see Instant Runoff Voting implemented
Endless Minority Governments
This is the biggest negative of BC-STV, the vote will almost always result in a minority government and would force people back to the polls every certain amount of years, Instant Runoff voting like in Australia has worked very well and has never yet elected a minority government under that system.
Way too confusing
Canadians are simple people and we all have to put up with bureaucracy in the government, This radical change in voting would make people have no clue about what they are doing, it's almost like they have to learn how to vote again. An X beside a check box is a lot easier then going through a ranking process. Though the average person can do this, What about seniors? I said seniors because I am unsure they will not know what is going on. The majority of Canadians want to vote for one specific party and not have to go through a rediculous ranking process!

Thinking about Voting CPC? Hold it!
I know everyone is royally pissed at the Liberals, they have the right to be. But do you really want to run to Stephen Harper? I'd be more comfortable knowing Jack Layton would be elected PM then Harper, but it's not going to happen. Let me tell you reasons not to vote for the Conservative Party, (Please don't get mad at me these are just my views, not yours).
1. Where do they stand?
This is the biggest problem with the CPC, I don't have a clue where they stand. One day they are raging right-wingers, the next they are moderates! The "hidden agenda" thing the liberals talk about, actually makes a lot of sense. Cheryl Gallant made a revelation that a CPC Government would repeal Bill C-250. Which will then allow more anti-gay bigotry into this country. What about Health Care?
2. Do you really want Stockwell Day as Foreign Affairs Minister?
I certainly don't, Stockwell Day does not represent the Average Canadian, he represents the Average Albertan. His views are staunchly pro-israel and pro-us (due to his support for the Iraq War).
3. Childish Actions
It's occured to me that the Conservatives are so completely childish, yesterday they were caught singing "Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. Hey, Hey, Hey. Goodbye!" Other childish actions have been courtesy of how horrendous their attacks are on the liberal party. Trust me the Libs do deserve it, but they do not deserve it this bad.
4. Lack of Experience
Stephen Harper likes to take about how young his caucus is and how diverse the party is. But the truth is many of their MP's are way too young and inexperienced to be even considered for a cabinet position.
5. Staunch Pro-US Views
I agree anti-americanism is rampant, but we do not need someone who will be George W. Bush's Lap Poodle. Stephen Harper is a strong supporter of the war in Iraq, and if he was PM at that time he would have sent our young men and women to die for corporate profiteers. He also will re-open negotiations with the Americans on Missile Defense, which Canadians are strongly against.
Those were the reason's I gave. I know some of you probably think I'm an idiot, but that's how I see the Conservative Party in my view.

The Latest Polls
A new poll from the Toronto Star in conjunction with EKOS got released and it showed the following: CPC 36%, LIBS 25%, NDP 20% and BQ 12% (50% in Quebec), While this is a damning poll and it's scary if your a Liberal. I'm here to offer all lefties a reason not to slit their wrists. So long as we can convince the NDP that Jack Layton won't become prime minister and that it's a lot better that you keep Paul Martin in Office rather then Stephen Harper. What we could do is something that should be done, the re-unification of the left. We will then be able to destroy the CPC! However I sincerely believe this poll is ridiculous. A Prominant Liberal from 80soft.com, Nick Boragina said the following about EKOS:
When Ekos said the NDP was at 34%, ahead of the tories and grits, in 1987, all Tories and Grits said it was not true
When Ekos said the Liberals were at 17% in 1984, no liberal would believe it
When Ekos said the Tories were at 6% in 1998, they all cried foul
When Ekos said the NDP was at 17%, and the Alliance at 7% people had a good chuckle
When Ekos said the new merged party was at 13%, behind the NDP, all the Tories said it was not true
It shocks me that anyone believes anything Ekos has to say show me something from Environics, SES, or if you have to, Compass, Leger, or even Ipsos Reid. I dont believe anything Ekos has to say.
Well he is right, In fact I believe that there was no way that the Conservatives would have been behind the NDP when they merged together. Liberals and Lefties do not panic, people will be in no way ready to jump to the CPC especially when it's lead by someone as boring and unexciting as Stephen Harper. Keep the Faith!

Harper & Same-Sex Marriage
So 15,000 people showed up to protest same-sex marriage and you know what, they can protest all they want because the truth is that a silent majority of Canadians support same-sex marriage, have you noticed how almost every poll that has been shown has shown a majority supporting Same-Sex Marriage. I say this because it's the truth, have you noticed how the only views getting out are from those in opposition to it? I'll tell you why, because the people who support SSM already know there is not one thing the people opposing it can do to stop it. Sure the Pro-Straight Marriage crowd can whine and snarl and hiss all they like but it won't change a goddamn thing! We have the votes and that is the problem with this Pro-Marriage lobby, they are a small and insignificant part of the country and the only reason they've been more vocal is because the radical right-wing Focus on the Family has been sending huge funds to their brothers that are located in Langley, British Columbia. I have nothing wrong with Christians I absolutely abhor the radical wing-nuts who hijack religion and tell false truths about it. IN CASE THESE PEOPLE HAVE NOT NOTICED, SAME-SEX MARRIAGES HAVE BEEN GOING ON FOR 2 YEARS! What does it matter if we allow same-sex marriage all over Canada? What difference will it make, I want to hear arguments against same-sex marriage that do not regard the following: The Bible, Marriage has been around for thousands of years, That it somehow effects children, or that it destroys society. THE TRUTH IS, it just does not! FYI: I know a friend of mine who has been raised by a gay couple since his mother died and he has turned out alright. But I do agree, children should have the right to choose who they should live with. BUT WHAT THE LAWMAKERS FORGET is that Children will probably stay with whoever takes care of them, it's just the truth. I also should bring the argument that there is a statistic that conservatives love to bring up its the (Gays are only 3% of the population one) THERE YOU HAVE IT! What possible effect could 3% of the population being married have on you? The Answer? Nothing! Not one thing can harm you, people have still been getting married and it is still a very beautiful thing, I argue that Same-Sex Marriage can strengthen marriage by allowing a whole new group of people who never have been married to get married. The fact is there are many positives that people just do not see. We all sin! It's just the truth so why should we be so afraid of gay marriage? The Religious right is screaming bloody murder, yet if they actually took 5 minutes and tried to look at what I have said they might just be converted!
