Well, tonight I have a lot to talk about, We have Gordon Stamp, Tory MP Peter Goldring's campaign manager who has resigned because he advocated Alberta seperation.
Not only that Mr. Goldring has called for the Turks and Caicos Islands to be the 11th province of Canada. He has also advocated that bootcamp should be the choice punishment of young handgun offenders as well (I had a link to this story but unfortunately it requires registration, something I will not give to the Edmonton Sun).
I am also thinking that Pierre Bourque is a biased mofo, Mr. Bourque constistenly places anti-liberal articles all over his web page and he's little more then the Canadian Equivalent of Matt Drudge, I have not ever seen one anti-tory article on his website even when the tories were screwing up back in May with the Gurmant Grewal Fiasco. I am not kidding I bet if you go there right now there are almost tons of anti-liberal articles plastered across the screen.
The Tories have also churned out another pathetic ad, which attacks and predicts the liberals will run a negative campaign. I love you chirp pieces, I just love that pact that you clarivoyants will continue to put on your swami hats and predict so much crap that hasn't even happened. There will definitely be negative ads you f***wits, have you not figured it out yet. So stop saying there will be, because there is going to be. The tories sound like a broken record, it goes blah blah blah Liberal Corruption blah blah blah Culture of Entitlement blah blah blah Criminal Investigation. Honestly thats what you people sound like, your a bunch of prep-school cheerleaders that continue to regurgitate whatever comes out of your leaders mouth.
You want to know my opinion about Paul Martin? I think he's run one of the shittiest campaigns in history, this election... so far. However, I do believe that the Liberals will pull through in the 2nd half, that's always what has happened, it happened in 2004 and it's going to happen again. I expect the tories will fight fire with fire, but should they do that we're going to turn on the Sprinkler system and douse that flame that they try at us. We're not scared of you amateurs we've won four straight elections and we are going to win this one.

Ralph Goodale is Innocent until proven Guilty
I'm not going to rush to judgement on Ralph Goodale, obviously there are facts that are going to be investigated by the RCMP. If Ralph says he has nothing to hide he shouldn't be worried. I'm going to put it plain and simple. Even Monte Solberg says "I like Ralph Goodale very much. He's a very nice guy, a decent guy,''I mean this isn't going to clear anything up. But, I ask all you tories who will no doubt insist Ralph be hung from the gallows, to just wait until the results of the investigation are announced, and if they do say Ralph did something un-ethical, then you have fair game. But, until then don't you tell me Ralph is guilty, until the police have charged him I will not believe you. Yes, I agree there are facts that many people have stated and that is fine. But, I want to hear what the proper authorities say on this. Anyone who doesn't believe this way, in my own opinion is a fool.
Now, I'm also going to address this David Emerson mini-scandal. "It's really pathetic, the words came out the wrong way and he was trying to explain something." I admit that these two miscues by Mike Klander and David Emerson have made the Liberals appear racist. But, I do not believe they are, I believe that they only wanted to take out their frustrations on their enemies and they went too far. I don't think the NDP is that bad to tell you the truth, I'm one of maybe a few hard-core liberals that does respect the New Democratic Party in terms of it's policies. I don't think the NDP has an anti-business agenda, I think to become a formidable party they have to bring business and unions together. Jack Layton comes across as a reasonable man, who is willing to work with people regardless of political stripes. I think though, he was right when he said that the House of Commons would be more orderly if Women were in Parliament. Well I'm hoping more women are elected, if you notice, typically more males are conservative and more females hold liberal beliefs. Women are usually better at compromising, men are not, men want to win and are determined to win at any cost.
Well It's been a long day and I need to head to bed. Peace Out.

Tories put the Con in Conspiracy Theories
You know, the one thing that really bugs me about the Tories is how they like to play the detective and think they have everything figured out before the facts are presented. They are like the people who say Hang them, before considering the facts, anybody who does not take into account the facts can be foolish. So in some ways the Tories are like Inspector Clouseau, they don't know what the hell is going on.
I mean lets be serious here, it is absolutely indisputable that Paul Martin was not involved in this scandal, the tories may claim otherwise that he had to have known where the finances went, well in my opinion simply he assumed the finances were to be used for a sponsorship event. He would never have signed off on funds to go directly to the Liberal Party Coffers, it just wouldn't happen, not even I could do something that dispicable. I am fairly certain that these partisans who were given the money lied about what they were using it for and martin did not do a thorough background check on where the money went. I do believe however Martin was kind of like Clouseau in the fact he was sort of an idiot during this situation, but I think that it's because of relentless negativity by the Tories that people get the wrong impression. I mean I already know that the Tory Hatchetmen will be on this board as soon as I finish writing this post because they love to slander anyone who dares to question their rediculous vision for this country. They will find ways to remove SSM even if you don't believe it. SSM is not safe in the hands of Stephen Harper. When they let the Same-Sex Marriage issue finally be put to bed only then will I consider supporting them.
I know there are many tories who are going to come on here and bitch that I'm misrepresenting his position. I know his position! He said emphatically he wants to get rid of Same-sex marriage, he wants a motion before the house, if that passes he will put possibly the most deplorable piece of legislation ever moved by a party on the floor of the house of commons.
It's a shame I have to do this, but the reason I'm voting Liberal is because of this issue specifically, I WILL NOT HAVE HIM DESTROY LOVE BETWEEN PEOPLE BASED ON WHO IS IN THE RELATIONSHIP! I will say I am passionate on this issue. Marriage is not about procreation, Religion has been used in the wrong way on these issues. God may mention homosexuality might be a sin, but I do not believe it is a sin that condemns a person to hell. Religion has been perverted by right-wing fundamentalist zealots who believe the bible is the divine word of God, but notice how these evangelicals refuse to even mention that Jesus went out and helped the poor.
Christianity should not be about banning abortion and gay marriage, it's about living a good life and so far I'd say that if two people love each other and they want to commit to each other, they should be allowed to do it.

Mike Klander Should be Fired!
I'm pretty disgusted to hear what a certain liberal blogger did to Olivia Chow, that is completely deplorable to compare someone of that background to a dog. Granted, I understand the connection between their last names, but honestly Mr. Klander has obviously had it taken the wrong way. It doesn't matter, this is a very low tactic and I admit I have attacked the Tories but honestly Mr. Klander should be fired from the Liberal Campaign for this kind of deplorable crap that he did to Ms. Chow. Our society does not tolerate racism and I will not tolerate it from anybody.

Stephen Taylor is running a Smear Campaign
It's quite obvious what Stephen Taylor over at his own blog is doing and that is, he is running a smear campaign against the Liberal Party, These advertisements did turn out to be real but I want to know who was behind this leak to Mr. Taylor. Which person in the Liberal war room had the gall to do this?
Who in the name of God was it? I believe that we are entitled to answers as to who would deliberatly throw a wrench into the party operations, Was it some pissed off worker who didn't have his idea put in? Who in blazes was this person because he or she should be fired on the spot immediately for leaking information like this.
Because of his ignorance he has cost our campaign precious money that we need to fight this election. Now we have to go back to the drawing board here because we've had everything leaked and the ads will be ineffective.
But as for Stephen Taylor, I have no kind words for you my friend, you are bile, you play dirty politics and you show no shame in the kind of crap you and your friend Kate McMillan to, the fact you chose to actually expose this information on the web and engage in paranoid delusional conspiracy theories like himself.
I honestly belive that Mr. Taylor thinks that if Paul Martin went into a bathroom, he'd think he had gone in there to steal money. Give me a break Stephen your not helping your cause, your only there to help your friends in your little tory circle jerk. I expect you to probably post a comment on this blog but I would not be surprised to see your supporters clammer to this blog to try and take me down. Four words, Bring it on, bitch!

I've Lost all respect for Sheila Copps
I did read something online on the CBC that, Former deputy prime minister Sheila Copps is helping out the Tory and NDP candidates in the Hamilton East-Stoney Creek riding in a bid to unseat her former Liberal colleague and political rival Tony Valeri.
Now, I'm not one to criticize many liberals but if there are two in my own party that I really hate it is Warren Kinsella and the other one is Sheila Copps herself. I think the people of Hamilton think Sheila Copps is now a sore loser, Sheila use to be a good liberal, but she's turning into a Tory bitch.
These two liberals are the biggest whiners in all of the party, I want to honestly have their membership torn up. I want Sheila's membership torn up because of this vile treachery she's violated the one principle of the Liberal Party which is to help other liberals.
Sheila, GET OVER THE LOSS! Honestly, you are pathetic, don't campaign for Tony but don't stab us in the back by doing something as treacherous as this. I'm just disgusted to hear that she would do something so dispicable as this. Hamilton East-Stoney Creek is going to return Tony because he was easily the better candidate than Ms. Copps.

Harper Opens Mouth, Inserts Foot
You can already tell that after a somewhat good start of the Campaign Stephen Harper is opening his mouth and inserting his foot into his mouth.
Yesterday the Conservative Leader said "I think they (The Liberals) can't wait to see a PQ government so that they can stand up for federalism and fight the separatists." I think that is by far a rediculous comment, this is once again the extreme cynical delusional paranoia of the Conservative Party that makes me dislike them." Mr. Harper's refusal to apologize once again shows that he is ignorant and this is not the first time this has happened.
Remember his slur accusing the Liberals of something ridiculous as Organized Crime? his slur accusing the Liberals and NDP of supporting something as disgusting as Child Pornography? The one reason I'm not voting for Stephen Harper is because of the disgusting behaviour of his party in the house of commons, they act like children and I saw it many times in the house of commons and every day the tory MP's shout and scream and make noise during Question Period.
In my opinion the Tories have abused their privilege of parliament, because they've slurred the Liberals with so many falsehoods and paranoid delusional fantasies.

Why Quebec is just another Province.
I'm sure many of you have heard the big debate about whether Quebec is distinctly different from Canada or whether it's not, perhaps you've pondered if Quebec should be treated better then many other provinces. I'd like to say absolutely not and Quebec is definitely not a "distinct society".
You might be shocked to hear this, A Liberal advocating treating Quebec as any other province? Well I do, I know I'm going to take flack for my views but so be it. Quebec is a great province, let me be clear, I don't hate Quebec. But I believe that despite certain cultural differences. Quebec is just another province in Canada, and the sad truth is Separatism would not be alive today had Mulroney not coddled people like Lucien Bouchard when he was Prime Minister.
The problem is in my opinion is that provinces need to get the same deal as everyone else, no special priveliges whatsoever, You may have heard of the old argument "if i did this for you I'd have to do it for everyone." That is true, for example, I believe if you give Quebec a say over Judicial Nominees, I believe that the respective provinces should also have a say over their nominees. If Quebec can take itself out of any program, so should Alberta or Saskatchewan. Same thing with Natural Resources if Alberta wants to keep its oil so should Newfoundland and Labrador.
I want to point out im not ignorant, I know there are political and cultural differences all over the provinces. But, I would like to point out that we cannot favor a province over another. The provinces are like Children, my advice is that we have individual representatives from each Provincial Parliamentry Caucus in the House of Commons that will form a kind of council to the Prime Minister in regards to what they believe is needed in certain provinces and territories for that matter. I think that the Arctic has been treated unfairly by many parties over the years and they are often ignored. These are all good ideas, that have been passed around but I'd like to here what you have to say.

Why Harper's Child Care Program is Wrong for Canada
We've heard over the past few days about Stephen Harper's Child Care proposal, as we all know he wants to give parents $1,200 a year to spend on taking care of their child. Now it may sound good in theory, but in practice, it just wouldn't work.
First of all, $1,200 comes out to abour 100 dollars a month for child care, I don't know anybody who could raise a child on that amount of money for one month, simply put that money would be gone with in a week to trying to put food on the table and filling up your gas tank.
Harper's plan is not a child care plan, it's simply extra money given to people who have a child of appropriate age. I know Scott Reid's comment was insensitive but truly he was right in the basic premise of what he was saying. Harper's plan would basically give parents another 100 dollars a month, while it might help with some expenses, it's not a plan that works. I'm thinking that it's quite likely the money might not go to childcare, it might go towards gasoline purchases or food to feed the children. I'm just making an idea of where it could go.
But I believe this is a bad plan, Many people say they want the government out their lives, let me be clear, I understand that. But, honestly as I sit here trying to scratch my head for possible solutions to combat the money going to innappropriate things I just can't other then the fact I keep coming back to the government should handle it.
Look this issue is going to bring strong reactions to many people, I do trust parents over the government but when it comes to child care I just think that maybe giving money to parents and simply trusting them to use it for child care is showing a bit of over-confidence. There are a few things the government should be allowed to run. Child Care is one of them and so is Social Security.
The problem with privatization is that it gives people a blank check and it lets certain people run wild without making the right decision. Now I hope that money is used for child care and not for anything else. But the plan of the tories is very vague and it doesn't work.

I'm Back!!!
I know It's been over three months since my last post, But I've been trying to gain access to this blog I forgot my username actually, but anyway, I know many things have been happening since August of 2005. As you already know The Federal Election is already underway, I'm going to give my thoughts on the first few weeks of this campaign.
The Debate on Friday was a strange one, I however believe in all honesty Paul Martin was the strongest debater out of all four, I can remember every second of the debate, Nobody did it better then Mr. Martin, Mr. Martin clearly had a plan and it worked well. Jack Layton was a strong second, but I really think the problem with Mr. Layton is he's all about Buzzwords and jingles, he sounded like a television commercial everytime he spoke during the debate, he kept using the same old tired lines we've heard over and over.
Stephen Harper... oh god what can I say positive about his performance, it was kind of mundane, he was very boring, he wasn't flashy and he seemed in my opinion to be really quiet and not very noticeable, he never at any time really stood out.
Gilles Duceppe however was the worst one of the group by far, and you thought you'd never hear me say that! But it's true, Gilles was even worse then Harper, he served no purpose in this debate except to just screw around, he really didn't have to say anything he can pretty much sleep till the election and still do very well in Quebec.
Still the defining moment of that debate is Paul Martin showing a fire and spark for the first time in... well... forever. Martin got passionate and you could see it, that was no performance and that was not any trick, that was raw emotion folks, I could feel it, I could feel that was real.
Overall the Debate was very boring, there was no great lines, no punchouts, no nothing. It was blah.
But here's what I believe the Liberal strategy has been during this campaign.
They've made the smart move laying off on promises, this limits Harper from attacking Liberal Platform Policies that they might bring up. Mr. Harper however has given Martin ammunition when it comes to Mr. Harper's pathetic Child Care Tax Credit and his 2% GST Cut. Make no mistake, the Child Tax Credit gives Parents 100 bucks a month to spend on their child and that will not help take care of a family. 100 bucks a month doesn't cut it when it comes to raising a family in this day and age. That money will not be used on beer and popcorn as suggested by scott reid, but the problem is it's just not a good plan, it might sound good in theory but it could never work in practice.
Mr. Harper also today announced he was going to pay more attention to British Columbia, well I am glad Mr. Harper's discovered BC, I wonder where the man has been all this time. British Columbia no longer likes the Conservative Party any more. They see the tories as not representing their interests and they have not been.
Paul Martin has invested more money in British Columbia then any other government in Canada has. BC finally has a balanced Budget, everything in British Columbia is looking bright and it's thanks to the wise investments made by Mr. Martin. Of course Partisan Tories are going to disagree with me on this but I say. BRING IT ON!
